Welcome to our home!
We are a family of one human and four guinea pigs, living in a yellow house in the Netherlands.
My name is Diantha. To the piggies my name is ‘baasje’, which means ‘little boss’ in Dutch. I am asexual, use she/they pronouns and I love the color yellow! I like to play video games sometimes and I stream those on Twitch. My other hobbies are embroidery, writing, reading, creating guinea pig content, and foraging.
I promote natural diet and lifestyle for guinea pigs, free-roaming and no forced handling. This journey started for me in 2021, after I had owned guinea pigs for 3 years. I stumbled upon a channel on Instagram where the owner did not feed her guinea pigs processed pellets. I was intrigued and wanted to learn more about this diet choice.
I now understand the benefits of a diet and lifestyle that caters to guinea pigs’ biological needs. It has brought me so much joy to see the piggies displaying natural behaviors and herd dynamics.
I continue to learn about natural diet, foraging and caring for guinea pigs through self-study and attending online courses and webinars.
